Louis reports some damage to boats and crops from winds of Irene...which blessedly "passed" rather than "hit" the island.
It is time for scholarship renewals for University students and Louis has reports from the last semester. Many thanks to the refurbishing ministry of COR for the laptops that make it possible for students to continue education in Haiti.
Joe was on the island in July and Haiti Outreach said it would be another 3 months possibly before we anticipate a well in operation. The church and school at Delsie was prepared with plans and estimates to receive money to repair their damaged cistern for the school. They will sell water to the community also. We will be using money in the water well account to repair damaged and destroyed cisterns for communities and schools.
