Haiti Mission

Here are the most recent newsletters from Joe and Shirley Edgerton:

Just noticed I still have time to get my clergy report in before Church Conference. I thought others might be interested in differences in the United Methodist Church and the E'glise Methodiste D'Haiti.

A team from Oletha Kansas just left (had a Nebraska Cornhusker along to celebrate the loss of Kansas University). It was a wonderful experience as all teams have been. The guest house recieved a new roof and we reaped the benefit of special goodies, French/English dictionaries for the school and many other gifts...including the gift of their presence.

We have two teams scheduled in January and two in June and lots of time in between. The guest house is becoming more comfy and of course the Haitian cuisine is a delight...Doniz is a treasure in the kitchen.

It is a long and pricey journey here but we try to make it a rewarding spiritual and emotional experience. It is hot but we provide plenty of water to drink, bath and swim.

+Grace and Peace, Pastor Shirley
